Get answers to common questions about Microneedling (Basic).

A Microneedling (Basic) session typically takes 45 to 60 minutes including consultation and topical numbing. The actual needling portion usually lasts 20 to 30 minutes depending on treatment area and skin condition. Plan for follow-up aftercare instructions.

Topical numbing is applied before Microneedling (Basic) to minimize discomfort; most clients report mild pressure and tingling rather than pain. Expect redness, swelling, and tender skin for 24–72 hours. Over-the-counter pain relievers and cold compresses relieve symptoms.

Most clients achieve optimal results with a series of three to six Microneedling (Basic) sessions spaced four to six weeks apart. Treatment plans are personalized based on skin concerns, severity, and desired outcomes; consult with our clinician for a tailored schedule.

Ideal candidates have mild-to-moderate texture irregularities, acne scarring, enlarged pores, or early fine lines. Those with active infections, open wounds, recent isotretinoin use, uncontrolled acne, or keloid tendency should avoid treatment and consult our clinician for alternatives.

You’ll experience redness and mild swelling for 24–72 hours, with possible flaking as skin heals. Avoid sun exposure, strenuous exercise, and makeup for 24–48 hours. Use gentle cleansers, hydrating serums, and SPF as directed to support healing and maximize results.

Yes—when properly timed and customized, Microneedling (Basic) can complement peels, laser, and topical therapies. Certain procedures require spacing to minimize irritation.
