Get answers to common questions about Microneedling with PRP.

Most clients benefit from a series of three treatments spaced four to six weeks apart; some require additional sessions depending on skin concerns and severity. Results improve progressively, with optimal outcomes visible several months after the final session.

We apply a topical numbing cream before treatment, so most patients experience only mild pressure or discomfort. During and after treatment there may be brief stinging, redness, and swelling, but these reactions are temporary and usually resolve within a few days.

Downtime is minimal for most patients: expect redness and mild swelling for 24 to 72 hours, with possible flaking for several days. Avoid makeup for at least 24 hours and strenuous exercise for 48–72 hours to ensure proper healing and optimal results.

Ideal candidates include adults with fine lines, acne scarring, uneven texture, or sun damage who are in good overall health. Not suitable for those with active skin infections, certain blood disorders, recent isotretinoin use, or for pregnant or breastfeeding individuals.

PRP delivers concentrated platelets and growth factors directly to microneedling channels, accelerating tissue repair and stimulating stronger collagen formation. Compared to microneedling alone, PRP enhances tone, texture, and scar reduction while shortening recovery and extending the longevity of results.

Common side effects are temporary redness, swelling, pinpoint bleeding, and mild bruising. Infection and scarring are rare when performed by a qualified provider using sterile technique. Because PRP is autologous, allergic reactions are unlikely, but proper screening and aftercare minimize risks.
